About Us
BuildTrend Homes is a custom home builder based in the Macedon Ranges, founded and led on-site by Daniel Favaro. Daniel maintains a steadfast quality-over-quantity approach, personally overseeing every project to provide a more personalised and tailored building service for each client.
What sets us apart is our ability to offer expert advice from the very start of a project. We don't need finalised plans or drawings to begin - leveraging our experience and extensive network, we can recommend the best-suited architects for your vision, saving clients time, money, and unnecessary back-and-forth.
Daniel has been a registered building practitioner with the Victorian Building Authority since 2013. At the time of registration, he was one of the youngest builders in Victoria to be granted his licence, showcasing skill and determination beyond his years.
Daniel is a member of the Master Builders Association of Victoria and holds accreditation as a Green Living Builder, specialising in sustainable building practices. His commitment to these practices has earned recognition through multiple awards from the association, including the 2023 Master Builders Victoria awards for Best Sustainable Home and Best Custom Home ($600,000–$800,000), a 2024 MBV Regional Award finalist placing for Best Custom Home ($600,000–$800,000), and a 2026 MBAV Award nomination for Best Custom Home ($2M–$4M).
Established in 2011, BuildTrend Homes was founded with a simple goal: to bring genuine craftsmanship and personal attention back to residential building in regional Victoria. More than a decade on, that approach remains at the core of every project we take on.

Our Quality
Meticulous craftsmanship is a cornerstone of the BuildTrend Homes ethos. We diligently select and employ only the best qualified and registered tradespeople for our building projects. Many of them are locally based in regional Victoria, including apprentices developing their trade within the same communities they call home, and have been with us since the business's inception.
Daniel's hands-on management approach, excellent communication skills, and flexibility ensure that our building projects consistently meet client expectations, budgets, and timeframes.
