Sustainable Building
Daniel holds Green Living Builder accreditation and BuildTrend's commitment to sustainable construction was recognised with the 2023 Master Builders Victoria award for Best Sustainable Home. We build with energy efficiency, material selection and long-term liveability in mind, from new architectural homes through to off-grid rural builds.
Rural & Acreage Building
Building on rural or acreage land brings a different set of considerations to a standard residential block, septic systems, water supply, driveways, power infrastructure, and terrain that rarely matches what's shown on the original plans. With a lifetime of experience living and working in rural areas, BuildTrend plans for these challenges from the outset, not as afterthoughts.

Pre-build planning
Unlike other custom home builders, we are happy (and, in some cases, suggest) engaging with clients at the initial concept design stage, even before any plans or working drawings are drafted. Our early involvement allows us to assist clients with a direct and efficient approach to ensuring their dream home is both achievable and within budget.
By closely collaborating with our clients from the outset, we gain a deep understanding of their vision, style, and budget, enabling us to recommend the most suitable architects. This approach saves our clients time and money and alleviates the frustrations that can accompany the building process. Working With Architects
Architect-designed homes require a builder who can read and execute a detailed brief without compromising the original intent. BuildTrend has an established history of working alongside architects across the Macedon Ranges and regional Victoria, translating considered design into structure, materials, and finishes that hold true to the vision.
We've delivered architect-led projects with designers including Peter Barton Architects and Heike Burkhardt Architect, executing detailed joinery, period-inspired finishes and complex rooflines exactly as drawn. Where needed, we also work through buildability and value engineering with the architect during design, so the finished home stays true to the brief without unexpected cost or programme blowouts.
