Moonee Valley City
Project 2

This Edwardian style house had only one bathroom including a toilet and a poorly designed internal courtyard, problems which were solved with clever design by Essendon based architects  David and Anne Crampton of  crampton d + a  architecture + design.  A new family bathroom, laundry, study and northeast facing living room were added at the rear and a new ensuite was added off the master bedroom. For the warmer months, large aluminium framed double glazed sliding doors in the living room open up to the north-facing outdoor living space with pergola and contemporary bbq bench.  In the winter months, the living room includes a cosy window seat with views of the garden as well as a  3 sided cantilever fireplace.  A central study is separated from the living room with polished hardwood open shelving unit.  The new light-filled ensuite includes a walk-in shower and contemporary bath.
