A dark cedar shack was transformed into a modern country home through a renovation and extension project designed by Peter Barton Architects. The rebuild included two main additions.

On the eastern side, a new kitchen with high-end appliances and Carrara marble benchtops was added, along with a dining atrium opening to an outdoor area.

The southern addition features a three-car garage with storage, laundry, a mudroom, an upper-level home theatre and a guest bedroom. Custom-filled glazed windows, eco-friendly insulation, underfloor heating, and fire-resistant cladding were also installed for efficiency and safety.
